Loving this romantic Sunday inspiration of having a lazy day and finding the time to:

write a letter (the old fashioned way)

pick some garden roses

indulge in some afternoon tea

cook the family a lovely Sunday lunch

find a quiet nook in the garden and

read my novel.

White Wash

Everytime I see a room or a space decorated with white on white with a healthy dose of vintage shabby chic thrown in, my heart skips a beat. Just the clean simple all white palette decorated with rustic pieces, the odd antique chandelier, vintage treasures and the loved, worn look of white painted timbers ...it gets me every time!

The Great Outdoors

With some sunny weather promised this weekend - I am looking forward to getting outdoors. My husband comes from a family of mad keen fly fishermen so we are all heading off to the local river with the kids for a spot of fishing. If there aren't enough rods to go round I happily sit in the background reading one of my favourite mags! Very few fish are caught so they best part of the day is the home baked goodies that go with the adventure. There's yummy sandwiches, freshly baked cookies to munch on and always a homemade cake for morning tea!

Antique Rustic Charm

I never tire of the beauty of French antiques or Provincial charm. I love decorating in this style and always have great fun in sourcing the pieces. I have a few favourite Antique shops that specialise in this look importing huge container loads from the South of France. And for more budget minded clients there are plenty of good reproductions around that give you the look without the hefty price tag!

Poetic Petals

Here is a little prettiness in the form of pink petals to brighten up your day!

Next best thing to a bunch of fresh of flowers are some gorgeous photos to inspire you.

These are all so soft and pretty with a lovely vintage mix of eclectic vases.

I love the ceramic jug, the old fashioned tin and the gold tarnished goblet.

Dreaming Of A Country Life

Here are a few of my favourite things that have always attracted me about

life in the country:-

home cooked food bursting with goodness
a garden full of flowers and fruit ripe for the picking

Retro Pastels

 

Today I'm loving this retro vintage chic with it's pop of colour! I love the pastel shades teamed with the white joinery and the timber benchtop .... and that Smeg fridge is to die for! One day I would love one of those, my only problem would be - which colour to choose?! This cute kitchen idea would work fantastically for both a country weekender or a little apartment in town!

The Country Kitchen

Every since I was a little girl I have wanted a house in the country. The main attraction was so I could have a big, old fashioned country kitchen to bake in. I had visions of me in an apron baking scones, cakes and pies and making homemade jams for a hungry family. These kitchens fit my dream just perfectly!
