Sunday Loves

 

My favourite Sundays are always low key and relaxed.

I love waking up in the morning and remembering I don't have to go to work.

I love warm croissants, fresh from the bakery for breakfast.

I love cooking a big lunch with something extra special for dessert.

I love long baths scented with bath oils on Sunday night.

And I love finishing up the weekend with a movie in bed.

This way I'm ready to start the week feeling fresh, happy and relaxed!

Mother's Day Treats

Happy Mother's Day Weekend!

Tomorrow is Mother's Day

I am looking forward to afternoon tea with my mum.

I have made her a little hamper of some pretty indulgences :-

a scented candle, some handcream and a box of macarons.

Which I'm sure she'll love.

I am simply looking forward to a little pampering:-

an extra long lie in,

perhaps breakfast in bed,

and a long hot soak in the bath.

For me that will be a perfect day!

The Country Retreat

 

One of best girlfriend's just bought a gorgeous old country house. A weekend retreat, a place to escape city life and unwind. It sits on 37 acres so there's plenty of space for her two little girls to explore, play and run around in the fresh air.  

There’s nothing more relaxing than a weekend in the country!

The White Bathroom

White is the ultimate in colour purity. Fresh, clean, pure and simple are all words that come to mind when describing all white interiors, particularly when used in a bathroom. White is soft, subtle and relaxed and works beautifully in all of these bathrooms. Their common thread is that they all possess lovely attention to detail :- the claw foot bath, the vintage chandelier and traditional tapware all add character and interest to these inspiring spaces.

Country Details

I love all the attention to detail associated with country living ... in my opinion it's often the little things that count. Details like vintage chandeliers, old fashioned tapware, treasured pieces like this old fashioned cake tin, enamelled jugs filled with fresh flowers, dainty china teacups, wooden dresses filled with country style crockery and scatter cushions piled high on sofas.

Bathroom Bliss

 

 

 

For me, a bathroom should be a haven of luxury - a place to unwind and pamper oneself. An oasis of calm and tranquility to refresh, rejuvenate and re-energise. There is nothing more relaxing than a long, hot shower at the end of the day. The weekends, however, are a different story, this is when I put some time aside for a long and luxurious bath, filled with scented bath oils or my favourite bubble bath. If I am feeling in a romantic mood I light some candles and pour myself a glass of champagne and watch my troubles disappear!
