The Potting Shed

Wednesday, February 8, 2012 0 comments

I'm looking forward to spending a few hours in the garden this weekend. My husband has a big shed for all of his junk but I love the romantic idea of having my own little potting shed. Something sweet and pretty at the bottom of the garden where I can store my garden tools, seedlings and terracotta pots. Something to inspire, a tranquil place that I can pot up my seedlings on a vintage table in a bit of style!

Down The Garden Path

I am looking to forward to a bit of pottering in the garden on the weekend, making the most of the warm weather and sunshine. Then on Sunday when the weeds are gone, the edges tidied and the lawns mown we can sit outside and enjoy it. A perfect opportunity to laze around with a good book or invite the family over for afternoon tea in the garden!

A Day In The Garden

With a lazy Sunday planned, I couldn't think of anything nicer than lounging around in the garden. I'm feeling inspired by these gorgeous images and may set up lunch in the garden or I may even get adventurous and set up a picnic complete with rugs and pillows, china and tea cups. I'll do some baking in the morning and we can have an old fashioned picnic. The kids would think that was a load of fun!

Rambling Roses

Is there anything sweeter than the perfume of home grown roses? The colours and the shapes of the petals from garden roses turns each bloom into a work of art, worthy of a painting or a photograph. Garden sheds and verandas look so pretty when covered in climbing roses and there's the added bonus of filling the house and garden with their sweet, heady scent. I also think a vase of roses picked straight from the garden is about the prettiest bouquet you'll ever find!
